Birth of the world’s first “Liliger” in Siberia

Have you ever heard of “Liliger”?

If not it is pretty normal, since the first one was born in a siberian zoo a few weeks ago and was named Kiara reports BBC. Her father is an African lion, and her mother is a liger – a cross between a lion and a tiger. Her mother does not have enough milk to feed her, so Kiara has been adopted by the zoo’s resident domestic cat. Although this “Liliger” is a unique examplar in the world, the zoo does not know what to do with her since hybrids do not have any conservation value.

Look how cute she is! A wonder they do not want to keep her! Does anybody wants to adopt Kiara, the liliger?

Further information and a video are available on the BBC webpage.
