17.09.2012 – London, UK. BBC reports that rat meat and other illegal and “potentially unsafe” meat have been sold on the Ridley Road Market one of the London busiest food market.

This market is known for its illegal and dangerous meat trade since 2009. A non negligeable quantity of the meat sold on this market may well be contaminated since it hasn’t undergone health control and hasn’t been inspected.

In his video, Guy Lynn, the BBC journalist interviewed the environmental health consultant Dr Yunes Teinaz, the environmental health officer Paul Povey and the African Health Policy Network chief Francis Kaikumba on this issue.
