Solar Storm triggers Northern Lights in the US

The large solar storm that occured on the 28th september 2012 triggered Northern Ligths as far south in the United States as Michigan, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Ohio, Montana, Minnesota, Washington, Idaho, Illinois and South Dakota and California. The picture shows a purple Aurora over the volcano parc in the US.
