15 November 2012 – Red Rain in Sri Lanka: Neither Alien nor Strange Phenomena
The Colombo page reported that Red Rain was witnessed in Sewanagala, Monaragala and Manampitiya, Polonnaruwa in Sri Lanka on the 13th, 14th and 15th November 2012. It is the first time in Sri Lanka. The source of the red rain fall has not been found yet. Water was sampled in order to determine the cause of the red rain in Sri Lanka.
Previous studies showed that an increase of the air acidity and sand storms could result in red rain. No desert exist in Sri Lanka and thus the sand storm hypothesis can be forgotten.
The 2001 red rain in India was caused by a variety of micro organisms without DNA and this is why researcher thought it was a a strange Phenomenon. REALLY A STRANGE THING!
