A loud booming noise was reported by WFAA engineers while working at the transmitter location on Cedar Hill. No damages were reported.
As shown in my last post about mysterious booms and rumblings, one of the primary natural sources of booms are earthquakes. Well you imagine that I directly ran on the USGS homepage. An believe what! USGS has confirmed a 2.4 magnitude earthquake in Ellis County exactly at the same time on October 16, 2013. Sometimes I like those easy to solve cases!
