This temperature is even colder than the background glow from the Big Bang.

A trick of the light? The twin lobes of the Boomerang Nebula caught by the Hubble Space Telescope could be a optical illusion.

Previous observations made by the Hubble telescope suggested it had a lopsided ‘bow tie’ shape. It seems now that the twin lobes have been an optical illusion.
