February 25 2014 was an amazing day for rare and mysterious sky phenomena. I’ve already introduced the pillars of light that have been illuminating the icy and foggy sky of southern Ontario. On the same day, undulatus asperatus clouds had also been witnessed in the sky over Atlanta.

This wavy type of cloud forms off the turbulence from thunderstorms or a line of showers. Experts suspect their wavy undersides may be due to strong winds disturbing previously stable layers of warm and cold air. Here a video of these amazing Atlanta’s clouds:
