Consequences of global warming: Glacier melting in pictures

3

One of the consequences of global warming is glacier melting.

And these pictures will scare the sh*t out of you! Well, at least they should.

The Bondone Glacier (Valtellina Orobie), a single large glacier in 1929 is now made of 2 two small separated glacierets (Upper Bondone and Lower Bondone):

The glaciers of Cagamei (Valtellina Orobie) in August 1926, in 1990, in 2003 and 2015. Impressive glacier decline:

Val Caronella in 4 October 1927 and in 2015. Just a small nucleus of ice has resisted… Otherwise all glaciers have disappeared:

Just keep in mind that this is an only small samples of glaciers from Italy. Glaciers are melting at unprecedent rates all over the world. This is alarming… Try to include environmental thinking in everything you do daily.

  1. Time to stop blaming global warming on C02. Global cooling is starting and any issues with glaciers or arctic/antarctic ice are quickly being replaced with ice buildup.
