Aquatic animals have no more water to live in Río Pilcomayo.

Thousands of crocodiles and fish are dying trapped in the mud of a drying river, Rio Pilcomayo. The animals are too weak to move in the absence of water.

If you zoom in you will see hundreds of crocodiles overlapping, without water almost. In a few more days there will be a mass die-off if the authorities don’t react.

But what’s weird is that only the Paraguayan side dries, while the river flows normally on the Argentinian side.

This situation is worsening since August last year and officials aren’t doing anything to bring waters back into the Paraguayan Pilcomayo channel.

Indigenous communities that depend on the river for their living start filling complaints.

And here nobody speaks about this tragedy!
