That is indeed one of the craziest thing I’ve ever seen.
The fire is going straight up in the middle of a tree in Schelville, an unincorporated community in Sonoma County, California.

cool as hell.. love this photo. video too. but its not weird. roots get hot and burn like fuses.. once to the tree it only makes sense for the inside to burn first. i loved bonfires growing up, fire department was always telling me i cant do what im doing and why. this was one of them. but again, that photo is beautiful
