Family of panicking deer commits suicide jumping from a bridge in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (video)

I don’t know what is happening here along the 80th Street SW bridge over U.S. Highway 30 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on December 10, 2017! Why is this herd of deer panicking such a way they are jumping over that bridge! I know it is Christmas soon, but they also know they cannot fly like their cousins at North Pole! Are these deer being chased by hunters or have they heard to many stories about Santa Claus? This is just too horrifying!

And here the video of the herd suicide:

Here a video just after the deer have jumped off the overpass.

This is just horrifying! Maybe they couldn’t find their usual wildlife overpass anymore! Have a good day Santa!

  1. your right the center top one moves its leg at the last 2 seconds of the video! he is still alive at this moment of filming. so sad. my friends dog did this sort of thing jumped over a wall on the top of a parkade! i do think a fence would be ok in these cases they dont cost much i used to build them for bridges like this one.

  2. … Curiosities and horrors of mother nature. They have failed the instinct.
They have seen that obstacle (The Bridge) in the middle of his way (Territory), and instinct has
told him that will jump the bridge. The rest of the deer, have followed the first and they have
copied the decision to also jump the bridge.

By the way … Have you ever seen, as the seagulls; They kill the pigeons to eat them?

Mother Nature is so cruel and very curious about the animals.
