A May hail storm caused some trouble for residents on the southern and eastern edge of the Denver metro area with more than 3 inches of hail reported near Parker and drivers forced to pull over on Monday afternoon. Here some incredible pictures and videos of that sizeable hail that pelted cars and quickly piled up on roads to the point that snowplows were dispatched to clear high traffic areas.

It looked a lot like snow but it was more than three inches of hail that was reported at the Pinery.

And yes, shortly after the storm, residents had to shovel the results of Colorado’s wild weather from their driveways.

The hail wasn’t big enough to do damage to houses and cars, but it destroyed trees, plants and gardens. Yeah, it’s going to take a while to clean this mess up.

This storm was reported as unprecedented in the area: “I’ve never seen anything remotely like this and I’ve lived here for about 20 years.
