Large Tuscany newspaper ‘Il Tirreno’ reports Zelenskiy rented his Italian luxury villa to a Russian couple from London

According to its sources, the newspaper was able to show that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rented his villa in Forte dei Marmi, in Tuscany, for 50,000 euros a month to a couple of Russian citizens coming from London.

As a remember, following the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Zelensky asked Italy to stop welcoming Russian tourists as well as seizing their yachts, homes and money.

Il Tirreno revealed that a negotiation had been opened for the house with some Korean tourists who wanted to rent it for the month of August for a sum between 50 and 70 thousand euros. The Real-Estate company then decided to rent the house to the Russian couple, who currently lives and works in London. The woman intercepted by the local newspaper reporters outside the villa, however, declined to comment.

Real estate agency denies the leak

Claudio Salvini, the real estate agent responsible for Real Estate Forte dei Marmi Villas denied the rumors, stating: “There were neither Russians nor Ukrainians in the villa of the President Volodymyr Zelensky. The villa was rented to a couple for the summer. I won’t tell you if they reside in London or not, but I assure you it can’t be Russians because it’s absolutely forbidden to rent to Russians and/ or Ukrainians.

[Note: Why forbidden for Ukrainians?]

Salvini then added: “Vittoria Apuana’s villa is owned by an Italian company that belongs to another in Cyprus, and belongs to Zelensky’s wife, who has given us a mandate to rent the villa with that clause. If anyone has heard Russian in that house, it is because the renter may have had Russian-speaking guests.

[Note: And the mayor of the city where the villa sits adds some more blabla below…]

The mayor of Forte dei Marmi, Bruno Murzi also intervened on the matter, saying: “We did not have any news and frankly until the outbreak of the war, the only information we had about the villa, which is located in the Villa Apuana area, is that it was owned by a company, among other things it has always been rarely inhabited.

Right now, in this conflict, I must say, I don’t really know what’s real from fake… But when a famous, old and local newspaper reports such a leak, it may be actually true. And knowing about the past of Zelenskiy… Well… What do you think? [LaNotiziaGiornale, Il Tirreno]
