On the subject of the colorado river: Upstream in Colorado state you can see how lush and green the ranches and farmland are, there is no sign of drought. Abundance of water, Lake Grandby and Grand Lake has no lack of water.
But you will note that these bodies of water have hydrological dams that keep the water levels high, while everything downstream will be lacking water.
Rich, abundant water. While the rest of the states run dry.
Everyone by now should know this; Whoever dams the river, damns everyone downstream.

Look at the hydrologic on each reservoir on the Colorado River, starting from the Rocky mountains. Then downstream in the drought stricken states. There is a correlation.

Word has it that the tribes wants these dams demolished, to allow salmon runs to return upstream. While this may seem plausible, they don’t realize that the river will be much narrower that before the dams were built. Needless to say, the salmon won’t return.
On note of the Salmon, they will not recover. On part because the ocean is become acidic due to the changing of the climate from volcanic eruptions in the seabed (Tonga volcano eruption being an example of that). And on part due to overfishing from commercial fisheries as well as the tribes contributing to overfishing, thus their own extinction.
