St. Louis, MO (KSDK) – A series of small explosions and a subsequent fire caused a temporary power outage overnight in an area of downtown near Lacles Landing. Around 12:45 a.m. this morning, the first blast under a manhole cover at Broadway and O’Fallon sparked the fire which knocked out electricity to the area around the Lumiere Casino complex on the Landing.

Several street and traffic lights were also darked by the blast and fire. Neither injuries nor property damage were reported. They blame a cable failure in a nearby manhole as the cause of the incident. Look at the video, it is pretty impressive!
