The Jakarta Post reports that Mount Gamalama in Ternate, North Maluku erupted on Sunday. Neither injuries nor damage but panik during a 15 minutes rain of ash. No evacuations have been ordered

Mount Gamalama unleashed two strong eruptions over the weekend, sending volcanic ash as high as 1 kilometer. The on-site volcanologist saw slow-moving red lava at the peak of the eruption Monday.

As visible in the movie, the street of Ternate, are covered with ashes. The last year eruption of Gamalama killed 4 people.
