What is this strange halo cloud in the sky over Nicaragua?
There are no descriptions accompanying the videos. What do you think this is? A giant halo cloud illuminated from above?
I thought I would submit these two Youtube videos from Guatemala. They feature a large, round cloud illuminated from above… which kind of looks like a giant UFO spaceship!
Is this only light playing off our atmosphere in strange and mysterious ways? Is this a strange halo cloud? I really don’t know. It actually reminds me of a giant halo in an overcast sky over Moscow.
The unusual sight ignited UFO rumors, but was easily explained by meteorologists. The “clouds” was just an optical illusion caused by sunlight hitting a cloud at just the right angle. The cloud’s round shape is likely what is known as a hole-punch cloud.
