Based in Philadelphia, PECO is an electric and natural gas utility subsidiary of Exelon Corporation, the nation’s largest competitive energy provider.

Officials have received over 900 calls but have so far found no problems in their system. The odor was first noticed Saturday afternoon in Delaware County (Haverford Township, Marple Township, Radnor and Upper Darby). Then it spread over to Chester and Montgomery counties (Paoli, Lower Merion, Plymouth-Whitemarsh, Jenkintown and Abington), before reaching Warminster in Lower Bucks County.

But the source of this weird gas odor is still a mystery. As of now, PECO has not found any issues in its system.

Where do you think this mysterious gas smell is coming from?
