Earthquake boom rattles residents of Chicago suburbs (Lake of the Hill)

If you felt a loud boom or rumbling around Chicago on March 26, 2015, you may have experienced a local earthquake. Lake in the Hill police has received calls about a ‘bang,’ but no incidents of damage have been reported.

The 2.9 Mag earthquake is the biggest seismic event in the Chicago area since one near a McCook quarry on Nov. 4, 2013, measuring 3.2.
