Since beginning of August 2015, torrential rain flooded the urban area of Taiyuan, the capital of north China’s Shanxi Province, with floodwaters knee-deep.
The region has been put under yellow rainstorm alert and the extreme weather should continue to hit the middle and southern parts of the province.
