First twin mysterious extragalactic signals detected by the Parkes radio telescope in Australia

Astronomers at the Parkes radio telescope in Australia detected the first twin mysterious extragalactic signals, accompanied by 4 usual but unexplained fast radio bursts.

These new mysterious blasts of radio waves from other galaxies deepen the mystery floating around these alien messages.

An unprecedented double burst recently showed up along with four more of these flashes have reported in a new astrophysical research published on November 25, 2015.

This is the first time twin blasts have been detected. They were separated by only 2.4 milliseconds and erupted from the constellation Octans roughly 9 billion years ago. The other four alien signals are similar to all previous detected bursts.

Fast radio bursts are bright blasts of radio energy that last for just a few milliseconds and are never seen again. They were first detected in 2007 and up to now only 9 had been cataloged. This new type of fast radio burst, the double flash, rules out some possible origins. But the mystery remains…
