A small earthquake was recorded in near Bolivar, North Virginia just 45 miles from Washington D.C. on January 17, 2016.
A magnitude 3.0 earthquake was measured by the U.S. Geological Survey at around 2:12 p.m. near Bolivar, West Virginia. The tremors were also felt in Virginia.
