Swarm of 32 earthquakes with 3 major tremors hits eastern Taiwan in less than 9 hours

Eastern Taiwan was rattled by as many as 32 earthquakes overnight, with three of them identified as main earthquakes.

The earthquake swarm was recorded between 11:17 p.m. Wednesday and 8:00 a.m., Thursday.

Although this region is known for frequent seismic events, 32 earthquakes from which 3 have been classified as major is something weird and important to publish.

Is this swarm a sign for the next devastating earthquake in Taiwan. The last one was only three months ago.

As shown on the Central Weather Bureau of Taiwan, a total of 32 earthquakes hit the eastern part of the Island between 11:17 p.m. Wednesday and 8:00 a.m., Thursday.

The first earthquake of the series was the most powerful with a magnitude of 5.6. The two other major quakes (M4.3 and M5.5) occurred early Thursday.
