On April 20, 2016, an anomalous hailstorm blanketed Saudi Arabia in white.
The strange weather phenomenon surprized many residents… And me as well!
Since the beginning of this year, Saudi Arabia is being hit by strong and extreme weather ranging from hailstorm, heavy rains and powerful floods.
The hailstorm that occurred yesterday, April 20, 2016, covered the desertic and mountainous region around Taif, Saudi Arabia.

As all this ice melt, rivers form and flew though the deserts.

Taif has a hot desert climate with hot summers and mild winters.
Although It is much cooler in Taif during the summertime than it is in other parts of Saudi Arabia, precipitation is low…
And hailstorms even more.
Strange and confusing!
