Two volcanoes in Indonesia erupted today. And two large quakes, one in Vanuatu and one in Chile were also reported. Something is going on…
Volcano eruptions and strong earthquakes currently shake the world. And now we better understand why scientists named this seismic belt ‘The ring of fire’.
According to USGS, 12 earthquakes had a magnitude larger than 5 (strong earthquakes) since the beginning of April 2016. Amazing!
Currently, more than 40 volcanoes are erupting. In the last few days, at least 5 were added to this list!
Today, the Popocatepetl volcano, Mexico and Mount Bromo (video) and Mount Sinabung (pictures) in Indonesia had explosive eruptions.
