A rare ‘ghost’ fish was filmed alive for the first time.

The footage was captured by the Okeanos Explorer, a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration ship.

NOAA scientists say this eel-like fish, that likely belongs to the Aphyonidae family, has never been seen alive until they captured images of it during an expedition on the Okeanos Explorer in the Marianas.
