Biblical rains engulfed the city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas in Mexico on September 3, 2016.
The resulting strong water currents killed at least 3 People, flooded 70 homes and affected over 1000 people in several districts of the city.
There are some days you think the sky is falling down on your head. Well this is exactly what happened in Tuxtla Gutierrez , Chiapas, where 100 millimeters of rain fell within 50 minutes, unexpectedly.
The apocalyptical rainfall killed 3 people, flooded almost hundred homes (several collapsed) and affected at least 1000 families in 26 different sections of the city!

A real nightmare.
According to News reports, the three dead people were driving theri vehicules, which was washed away by the street torrents.
In the southern part of the city, the intensity of the rain destroyed water drains, streets and 3 streams overflew.
The strong water currents dragged 75 vehicles in different parts of the city, tear down fences, trees and damaged.
Incredible strong power of nature!
Dozens of families lost everything.
The Mexican Army activated the DN-III Plan to help the population.
Besides Tuxtla Gutiérrez, this intense rainfall was also recorded in 122 other municipalities in Chiapas and in Acapulco, Guerrero.
Let’s hope that damages and losses in these other regions aren’t that large.
