The Popocatepetl exploded again sending a plume of ash and gas 900 to 1,000 meters above the summit on February 25, 2017.
244 exhalations along with steam and gas emission were recorded at the volcano during the last 24 hours. The eruption occurred at 07:51 h. A volcano-tectonic event took place yesterday at 21:06 h (M1.2) and today at 05:39 and 09:55 h (M1.6 and M1.9).
In the last 24 hours the seismic records of the surveillance system at Popocatépetl volcano registered 244 exhalations along with steam and gas ans ash.
One explosion occurred at 07:51 am, today. Also, within the last 24 hours, 3 volcano-tectonic events took place: M1.2, M1.6 and M1.9.
During the night there was incandescence on the crater of the volcano.
At the time of this report, the volcano has a continuous emission of steam and gas spreading towards south-east.
The alert level remains in Amarillo fase 2.
