A shallow and strong M6.1 earthquake hit Near Islands, Aleutian Islands at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles) on March 27, 2017.

There are no people living within 100 km (62 miles) radius. No tsunami warnings.

The epicenter is located 66 km (41 miles) W of Navy Town (population 0), Alaska and 831 km (516.5 miles) ESE of Klyuchi (population 10 000), Russia.

There are currently two volcanoes erupting in the Aleutian Islands: Bogoslof volcano and Cleveland volcano. Is this earthquake going to trigger another volcanic eruption?
