Back in September 2013, a mysterious halo had already baffled residents of Mauritius and La Réunion.
About four year later, on September 14, 2017, a large and bright space bolide exploded over Mauritius rattling houses on La Réunion and Mauritius.
The meteor fireball was reported across La Réunion and Mauritius etwee 6:15 and 6:30pm.
According to first reports, the blue space rock left a white trail behind before exploding and most probably impacting the sea of Sainte-Rose.




The impact of the large fireball with the ocean may have produced the seismic wave that has been felt by some residents.
