On September 16, 2017, a M3.1 earthquake hit 16km south of Old Faithful Geyser in Wyoming. Although minor, this tremor most probably produced the Old Faithful Geyser that occurred just 30 seconds later at 22:38.

The Yellowstone National Park is currently hit by one of the biggest earthquake swarm of its history. Moreover, just 160 miles away, in Soda Springs, Idaho, another quake series with more than 300 tremors is rattling the area since September 2, 2017.

Here some videos of eruptions of Old Faithful on September 16, 2017:

There is a lot of pressure has been released from the deep in those areas over the last few weeks and scientists don’t know when the seismic unrest is going to stop.

In the meantime, I would like to ask you just to GET PREPARED and BE READY in case something more serious was about to start. Have a good day!
