This is insane! Planet Earth has accumulated lots of energy, which has to be released… Within three hours on January 23, 2018, a dangerous and shallow M7.9 earthquake hit 280km SE of Kodiak, Alaska after a M6.0 earthquake damaged and destroyed many houses 40km S of Binuangeun, Indonesia. Both quakes were widely felt with thousands of reports in Alaska and almost 400 reports coming from Java, Indonesia. TSUNAMI warnings have been issued for the entire US West Coast after an 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Alaska. Here some pictures and videos. The massive Alaskan earthquake was reported at at 09:31 UTC on January 23, 2018 (00:31 local time) at a depth of m (6.2 miles). Tsunami warnings and watches are in effect. The M7.9 earthquake struck in the Gulf of Alaska 260.2 km (161.7 miles) SE of Chiniak (population 47) and 576.7 km (358.3 miles) S of Anchorage (population 291 826). Based on the preliminary earthquake parameters, widespread hazardous tsunami waves are possible:
