Something is getting very scary! A new strong earthquake hit off the coast of Oregon, today, August 22, 2018. This latest powerful quake raises fears among US west coast population, living in the densely populated areas on the Pacific coast. This latest strong earthquake may be a sign of the next Big One… which is overdue… And where is it going to strike? Along the Cascadia Fault Line or in California.

A M6.2 earthquake hit right on the Cascadia Fault zone off coastal Oregon on August 22, 2018

Another powerful M6.2 earthquake struck 200 kilometres off coastal Oregon on August 2018. The epicenter of the quake lies directly on the Cascadia Fault Line, which is part of the larger Ring of Fire – where more than 60 significant earthquakes have hit in the last few days.

Experts have warned of no damage to buildings, and there has been no tsunami warning issued for now.

Enhanced activity along the Ring of Fire is a sign of the Big One coming?

The Ring of Fire is the largest and most active fault line in the world, stretching from New Zealand, all around the east coast of Asia, over to Canada and the USA and all the way down to the southern tip of South America and causes more than 90 percent of the world’s earthquakes.

Experts know that the Ring of Fire has the potential to unleash some catastrophic quakes – and a spate in the last 24 hours has some concerned.

The strongest of which was a magnitude 8.2 which struck in the Pacific Ocean close to Fiji and Tonga but there have been many others, including a M7.3 earthquake in Venezuela, a M6.6 earthquake in Vanuatu and a deadly M6.9 earthquake in Lombok, Indonesia.

Seismologists believe that the unsettling of the Ring of Fire could lead to a catastrophic earthquake somewhere around the globe, and California or the Cascadia fault along the US west coast have been touted as possible epicenters.

Experts have been warning for some time that California is overdue a large earthquake, and shaking around the Ring of Fire could be a precursor to this.

California overdue for a large earthquake

Thomas Jordan, head of the Southern California Earthquake Center, told the Los Angeles Times last year, that any time there is seismic activity on a fault zone, “the probability of having a large earthquake goes up.”

And Richard Aster, Professor of Geophysics at Colorado State University wrote recently for the Conversation that the southwestern State is overdue an earthquake: “The earthquake situation in California is actually more dire than people who aren’t seismologists like myself may realise. Although many Californians can recount experiencing an earthquake, most have never personally experienced a strong one. For major events, with magnitudes of seven or greater, California is actually in an earthquake drought.”

The last time there was a magnitude seven quake or higher in California was in 1906 which struck San Francisco and ultimately killed around 3,000 people. But Prof Aster says the damage this time could be much worse as California’s population has grown more than 20-fold since the 1906 earthquake and currently is close to 40 million. As you understand, there could be serious devastation.

Cascadia overdue for a big earthquake

Experts fear a mega-tsunami could be headed to the west coast in the near future as the fault is ‘overdue’ for the big one. According to specialists, this earthquake will destroy a sizable portion of the coastal Northwest.

The question is when. The next full-margin rupture of the Cascadia subduction zone will spell the worst natural disaster in the history of the continent.

Nonetheless, the US West Coast’s infrastructure, response planning and general preparedness will doubtlessly be tested when the inevitable and long-delayed ‘big ones’ occur along the San Andreas Fault or the Cascadia Fault line systems. Ultimate damage and casualty levels are hard to project, and hinge on the severity of associated hazards such as landslides and fires. As California and other States along the Pacific up to Canada prepare for large earthquakes after a hiatus of more than a century, the clock is ticking.

Is anybody taking a medication “blood thinner” in order to prevent blood clot, heart attack and stroke? “Blood thinner” medication is used to kill rats on island in Hawaii to control the rats population. If they can kill rats, why not humans. They love to reduce human population by 95%. They just want only 5% of human on the Earth in order to serve reptilians or reptilian entities. If you see “Georgia Guidestones’, you can find that it clearly said they need only 5% of human population to remain. If they have already killed 95% of native Indian population, why not for depopulation for whole human population by 95%. They are doing human depopulation by poisoning our food, water, vaccines and all the poisonous medication. I hope many people are going out of the MATRIX (illusion) that all the governments and medical entities are protecting them. They just lie to you that those poisonous medications, vaccines, fluoride, aluminium… are good for you.

  9. I think a big earthquake will hit within the next 3 years and the fault lines will all crack wide open, weather will go haywire . The scale and range of how weather, disaster are categorized will have to be changed, due to the extreme weather change. Many scientist from all over the world will gather to try to figure out what is going on with the planet. Read a book called Pole Shift and the planet it appears go through cycles that are repeated. I think a big meteor will set off a chain reaction, We will see mass migration in some areas, due to some areas heating up to point where it will be uninhabitable. There is guy that is on youtube that seems to have a large following and predicts quakes, and I believe there is some correlation with fracking is certain areas triggering quakes,

  11. We were always told for many decades that many small quakes is far better than one large one, yet here everyone is getting all hysterical about a 6.2 quake. In fact the USGS is leading the pack in this hysteria. They do not know anything for sure, but yet want to keep up the hysteria to give the impression that they are doing the work they are paid to do. If they could actually get it down to a day or two then we might pay attention, but THEY CANNOT. They didn’t even get Mt. St. Helens time line correct because they just don’t know because mother earth is far too capricious. What do you think a population can do with this god damn hysteria. Nothing, because without adequate notice we will not be able to get out of town because the freeways will become parking lots.

    IT IS LIKE THIS; EITHER GET IT RIGHT OR STFU, AS WE DON’T NEED THIS CONSTANT HYSTERIA THROWN IN OUR FACES !!!
