This is really shocking!

During a two-day Hindu festival in Nepal, hundreds of thousands of animals are butchered to bring worshippers good luck. Warning: the following images and videos are graphic!

The Gadhimai Festival is a two-day festival in honour of the Hindu goddess of power.

Animal sacrifice is a crime. But it is still common tradition. In Japan, they slaughter dolphins; In the Faroe Islands, they sacrifice whales.

And every five years, during the Gadhimai festival held in southern Nepal, approximately 250,000 animals are brutally killed to honor the Hindu goddess of power, Gadhimai.

Every five years, the village of Bariyapur, Nepal becomes the largest slaughterhouse in the world during a two-day sacrifice festival in honour of Gadhimai, the Hindu goddess of power.

During this ceremony, up to a quarter million animals, ranging from buffalo to rat, are sacrificed at the Gadhimai Temple of Bariyarpur, in southern Nepal.

Another horrifying ritual is the dolphin killing at Taiji in Japan!

The animals are put inside a ‘stadium’ and excited pilgrims climb trees and walls to look at the sinister spectacle.

Some 200 butchers with sharpened swords and knives walk into the walled arena bigger than a football field and start killing.

The Hindu festival in Nepal involves the large-scale sacrificial slaughter of 300,000 to 500,000 animals including water buffaloes, pigs, goats, chickens, and pigeons, with the goal of pleasing Gadhimai, the goddess of power.

In the latest editions of the festival (2019, 2014 and 2009, up to 250,000 animals were slaughtered.

The Faroe Islands also have gruesome ceremonies!

With all my respect, I think this cruel and bloody Hindu sacrifice ritual in Nepal should be banned! What’s your point on this? More absurd mass killings on Strange Sounds or Steve Quayle. [AlJazeera, Daily Mail]
