Though an interesting concept, there are several flaws with this idea.
-Firstly, fire hydrants are full of pressurized water. The pressure due to a gravitationally fed system.
*No shortages/ outages comprehensive enough to evacuate the number of hydrants necessary for amplitude and resonance.
-Hydrants would have to experience resonance from a highly pressurized source.
*Water won’t cause unless at boiling temp (no massive wild fires reported) or air which would need to be from a pumping system which centrifugal hydro pumps can’t pressurize that much air without catastrophically failing.
-The “sound” is similar to the 2012/13 sound heard globally.
*According to this idea, entire municipal networks of hydrants in many major coties would have had to have such conditions simultaneously. The odds of that are approx a quadrillion-quintillion to… One.
