Meanwhile, on the other side of the globe, it is winter… And snowing like hell!
Although snowfalls has begun to clear after a day of widespread falls across the Blue Mountains, Central Tablelands and alpine regions of New South Wales, warnings are still in place for snow flurries and black ice.
An Antarctic front is heading toward Melbourne bringing snow to parts of New South Wales, particularly for the Blue Mountains and across the Alpine region.
Ski resorts are happy with the cold snap.
Here a short video of snow in the center of Orange, NSW:
Thredbo and Perisher reported 60 centimetres and 50 centimetres of snow, respectively.
It’s a real winter wonderland at the present time.
The cars are covered with it, the streets are covered with it, the rooftops are covered with it.
But this is not fun for everyone, especially drivers.
Black ice – because it is invisible on dark roads – is a particular danger.
So take care on the road. Wild Emu!
