You probably remember that nine blue whales died mid-April 2014 in the waters surrounding Newfoundland, Canada, probably crushed to death by ice. Well two bodies of these endangered mammals washed up on the shores of two Newfies’ villages. Decomposition fills them up with methane gas, which will blow sooner or later! This would be a mess. Imagine, one of these marine monsters is 81-foot-long and weighs about 60 tons.
Both villages of Trout River and Rocky Harbour live from tourism… Because of the smell triggered by such a beaching and the following explosion, it could be reduced. Indeed, tourists do not want to see dead whales but happily swimming whales.
