According to Nicaragua news agency, the explosion was felt across the whole of the capital. Officials are convinced that it was a meteorite, as they have found an impact crater near the International Airport of Managua.

As the meteorite touched down in a secluded and inhabited area, there are no reports of injuries. Was it a small fragment of Asteroid ‘ 2014 RC ‘?

The meteorite dug a crater of more than 12 meters in diameter. Huge! The sides of the crater were shiny, as if covered by mirrors. This is normal! The ground is transformed into glass during impact.
