In the last few weeks, unprecedented rains have flooded deserts, roads and cities of Saudi Arabia killing at least 30 people. Now again, meteorologists have issued a red warning for heavy rain in Madinah province. Civil defense teams have been deployed in preparation to respond to any flooding. Biblical!
The General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection said Friday further torrential rain was forecast for several regions of the Kingdom.
These include Tabuk, Madinah and its coastal areas, and Al-Jouf. Thunderstorms are also expected in the Makkah area. Tabuk is currently working on clearing recent floodwaters in inundated areas, valleys and coastlines. And the next donwpour is just around the corner…
