It seems like every few years, people start speculating that the whole world is ending. These sort of apocalyptic predictions have only become more prevalent lately. But, looking around, it’s hard to deny that an increasing number of signs point toward the end times.
Killer hail in South Africa
This is horrifying! A devastated farmer lost hundreds of his ostriches to a hailstorm in the small district of Aberdeen in the Eastern Cape, South Africa last week.
The unprecedented, hour-long hailstorm struck on Wednesday. “I’m 54 years old and I have never experienced a storm quite as severe as that,” said the farmer.
“We lost a whole lot of ostriches, about 450… The hailstones struck some of the birds’ eyes and broke the necks of others. We also lost some of our goats and sheep, and the infrastructure was blown away by the storm,” he said.
With the area having been in the grip of a drought for the past six years, Krige said it was going to be a long road to recovery.
His 20-year-old son has been running the farm while he looks for other ways to earn an income due to financial constraints.
“We’ve been hit with the Covid recession, and payments from businesses and markets that we supply have been delayed. Where we used to wait for 30 or 60 days, now we have had to wait over six months. It’s just sort of a big ball that keeps rolling, and to be hit with it is heartbreaking and makes one think if it is worth it,” he said.
“It is going to take a while to recover, if we ever recover,” he said. [IOL]
Unprecedented hail hits Bolivian town
Meanwhile in Bolivia, residents of the small city of Tarija were left totally shocked by the deluge of ice that took place on Halloween (Sunday, October 31, 2021).
In some places, roads they were covered in more than 3 feet of ice, blocking traffic, damaging homes, businesses and cutting down power.
The heavy thunderstorm also dropped loads of rainwater that flooded houses and basements across the town.

Sorry to say with the ostriches. If the hail didn’t kill them, some lightning would had. They had zero protection from the weather, where’s the shelter?? Stupid farmer.
That would be a huge shelter. I think they free range ostriches too. I have a space under my deck. Our hail hasn’t been death hail.
450 ostriches would take alot. They like to forage and run. I was trying to buy eggs, and get an incubator. Too much hassle out here. Turkeys work well out here for meat birds. I probably will get 4 this April May. Taste is 10× free ranged.

Well, can’t deny things have become worse, and end times are near. A couple of more things need to happen, but it’s close enough.
I feel sorry for the ostrich farmer. Everytime I lose a goose or duck, I get sad. So, 450 ostriches must make the farmer full of sorrows.
