In the Arizona desert, bobcats take survival to new heights — literally — by napping on top of spiny cactus towers.

In the blistering Arizona desert, even predators have to get creative.
Local bobcats have been spotted sleeping on top of cacti — balancing between spines like desert gymnasts.

Why? Because the cactus offers what the desert floor can’t: shade, safety, and a killer view.
Up there, they’re untouchable — away from coyotes, snakes, and whatever else crawls when the sun hits 45°C.

It’s weird. It’s brilliant. It’s evolution with a sense of humor.
