Mystery booms 2022 to 2025 — curated list of unexplained explosions, loud booms, and shockwaves by year
Mystery booms and unexplained explosion reports (2022–2025) — a curated, recent-years archive by year.

If you experienced a mystery boom (a sudden loud bang, shockwave, window-rattle, or ground vibration) and can’t identify it, tell us — location, date/time, what you heard/felt, and a phone recording help a lot.

Apocalyptic explanations people throw around (because of course): if it’s not thunder, industry, aircraft, fireworks, quarry blasts, meteors, or an earthquake… then it must be aliens, Project Blue Beam rehearsals, secret weapons, the New World Order, HAARP, or “the sky is cracking.” 😉

Individual incident pages from 2022–2025 have been merged into this archive to reduce duplication and improve clarity.

Report a mystery boom

What this page is (and why it exists)

Between 2022 and 2025, Strange Sounds published fewer “boom” reports than in the earlier peak years — so instead of four thin year pages, this page bundles the recent era into one stronger archive. Each entry links to the original post (videos, maps, official notes), so you can scan the timeline fast.

If you want deeper patterns, start at the Mystery Booms & Rumblings hub and then jump into earlier yearly lists.

Mystery Booms 2022–2025 — FAQ

What counts as a “mystery boom”?

A sudden, loud bang (sometimes with a shockwave) that rattles windows or shakes buildings, where the cause isn’t obvious at the time — and may be later explained as aircraft sonic booms, industrial blasts, fireworks, thunder, meteors, or small earthquakes.

Why bundle 2022–2025 into one page?

Because there are relatively few entries in those years. One combined archive avoids thin year pages and makes the “recent era” easier to browse.

Are mystery booms usually natural or man-made?

Most end up having ordinary explanations: quarry blasts, industrial incidents, sonic booms, fireworks, or distant thunder. A smaller fraction ties to meteors or earthquakes. A few remain genuinely unclear due to limited data.

How can I quickly narrow down what I heard?

Check (1) weather radar/lightning maps, (2) local airports/military routes, (3) quarry/industry nearby, and (4) earthquake feeds. If you can, record audio/video and note the exact time.

How do I report a new boom?

Use the contact form with location, date/time, what you heard/felt, and a short phone recording or video if possible.
