Ciudad del Angel has a really bad guardian angel.
Due to geologically unstable hillslides, 120 out of 250 houses built have already collapsed in this small town situated north of the Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa.
Hundreds of homes in the hillside village of Ciudad del Angel have now come tumbling down due to geologically unstable land.
Ciudad del Angel has been declared unsuitable for occupation.
To protect the buildings below, the hillside homes that are still in shape will be demolished because the land on which they sit will likely eventually give way.
Now Ciudad del Angel is a ghost town as it was declared uninhabitable in July 2014. Thanks to Stepen Melby for the tip.
