Apocalyptic thunderstorms drop golf-size hail across Brazos Valley in Texas

Severe thunderstorms dropped large hail stones the size of golf balls Thursday night across the Brazos Valley, damaging cars and homes.

Yes, and this over more than 180 miles…

160 – 190 miles of monster hail, damaging wind, and a short tornado warned time.

Today’s storm broke the cap (lid on the atmosphere) and had run of the sky w/ all the energy (CAPE) it wanted to plow right through the Brazos Valley

Images and videos from the region showed the hail as it pelted vehicles and left dents in their wake.

Police cars on the scene of an earlier mass shooting were among the damaged cars, according to KBTX.

The flagship campus of Texas A&M University in College Station was covered in ping pong-size hail after the storms passed.

Severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings were issued for the region as the system moved eastward.

The furious storm triggered power outages across the region, with Bryan Texas Utilities reporting 1,215 and while College Station Utilities 133.
