The causes of the terrifying wave of more than two meters that hit the coast of Odessa, a city in the South-West of Ukraine on Friday, June 27, 2014 are still unknown.
Several witnesses said to have heard a dull sound shortly before the arrival of the wave, which caused six injured, including four children.
Scientists cannot explain what generated this phenomenon in the Black Sea. Equipment have not recorded any underground tremors or geophysical disturbances that could cause a tsunami of this type.
