This couple turns plastic into Art. Since 10 years, Richard Lang and Judith Selby Lang have been traveling almost every day to the same 1km beach in Northern California to recover as much plastic as they can carry.
Each picked-up plastic piece is then cleaned, categorized and stored before being used for their art – sculptures, prints, jewelry and installations.
Their purpose? In addition to aesthetics and art, Richard and Judith want people to get aware about plastic pollution in our seas worldwide, question the amount of plastic released into the ocean and explain the great pacific garbage patch – from which all this plastic is coming from.
