A huge fireball meteor lit up the sky over northeast China on Friday (Oct. 11).
The disintegration was so powerful that it turned night into day across a wide area.
The meteor occurred at about 12:16 a.m. Beijing Time, turning night into day and casting dark shadows as it streaked through the sky, according to the state-run CCTV.
Videos of the fireball were captured by surveillance cameras in the city of Songyuan in the province of Jilin, as well as by many residents across northeast China, CCTV reported.
The meteor also visible from Heilongjiang Province, the news agency reported. [CCTV]
Another amazing sky phenomenon occurred over Tokyo, Japan, as the sky turned purple before Typhoon Hagibis hit. WOW!
Oct 15th 2019 at 3 am central time saw the outside of my bedroom windows light as day with shadows. Light clouds that night. The plants by windows were slowly blowing in wind. The light was incandescent and looked as if ferry’s could have been dancing but were NOT.
