A strong M5.1 earthquake hit 10km from Montelimar at 11:52a.m. on November 11, 2019.

This is the largest earthquake to strike the region in the last 15 years.

The epicenter of the rare M5.1 quake was located in Alba-la-Romaine at a depth of 12,8km.

Shaking was reported in several large cities like Montpellier, Lyon, Saint-Etienne, Grenoble, Avignon and Marseille.

Damage has been reported near the epicenter:

According to witnesses, the shaking lasted between 5-10 seconds, sending scared people in the streets.

At least 4 people have been injured – 3 light, 1 serious.

The heavily injured person was hit by a falling scaffolding and was rushed to the hospital in absolute urgency.

The Vallée du Rhone is full of nuclear plants. According to officials, they have not been damaged by the earthquake.

  1. I have been predicted quakes of 6-8 will hit ring of fires and so far i am very accurate. Recent quakes of Alaska and Indonesia 6 plus and i still say ring of fire will shaking 6-8 with very high possibility of 6 plus quake in California?
