This 13-year-old teen was nearly swallowed up by a 20-foot-deep sinkhole in her front yard in Lake Elsinore, California.
But she was able to crawl from the opening that caved in right under her on November 21, 2016.
All of a sudden, she just fell down. Yes, she was walking on her front yard when the ground gave way underneath her. Her struggle was recorded on cam (see above video). Seconds later she climbed out shaken, but not hurt.
It must have been terrifying.
The hole has been covered up with plywood for safety reasons, but the hole isn’t the only issue as it appears the yard is also starting to sink. A new giant sinkhole forming?
The hole may have been created by a septic system that the original builder installed in the 1980s. The family bought the home eight years ago and did not know about the septic system.
