Amazing but true! A poll conducted by HuffPost/YouGov shows that among the 1,000 adults interviewed Dec. 17-18 2012, 45 % believe in ghosts, or that the spirits of dead people can come back in certain places and situations. To the question Is there a life after death, 64 % responded Yes. Finally, 59 % of adults believe they have never seen a ghost and 43 % think ghosts or spirits do not interact with living people. The poll used a sample selected from YouGov’s opt-in online panel to match the demographics and other characteristics of the adult U.S. population. Factors considered include age, race, gender, education, employment, income, marital status, number of children, voter registration, time and location of Internet access, interest in politics, religion and church attendance.
These results from thee Huffington Post corroborate previous ones obtained by CBS News in 2009 showing that more than half of the Americans believe in ghosts and that dead can reincarnate in certain places and situations. – Hufftington Post
